the sea.

"The sea does not reward those who are too anxious, too greedy, or too impatient.  To dig for treasures shows not only impatience and greed, but lack of faith.  Patience, patience, patience is what the sea teaches.  Patience and faith.  One should lie empty, open, choiceless as a beach -- waiting for a gift from the sea."

  2. Yes. Definitely can't be too arrogant around the sea. It will surely put you in its place. Especially if you turn your back to it;) Bon week-end to you too, Catherine! I hope you're enjoying as well as relaxing. xoxc

  3. That's a lovely quote - water is patient and water will wait. I wonder what it is that keeps pushing us toward impatience and why we don't take what lessons we can from nature

    1. You're right, Rooth. I wonder about that too. Good thing there are still unplugged places to escape to--even if we must proactively choose a cozy couch, no t.v., no iPhone, no computer... :) Thanks for visiting. xoxc
