AKL Maui Lavender Farm (one of my favorite haunts in Maui)
The boys at AKL Maui Lavender Farm doing a bit of "meditation" during their treasure hunt.

Boogie Boarding at Polo Beach, Maui.  The boys couldn't get enough of the rolling waves.
Low sun.  Just a few more waves before dinner :: Maui
Wouldn't be a Maui escape without a luscious Mai Tai
My men and me at the Banyan Tree.  Lahaina, Maui
School has already begun, but it's still officially the summer season.  I figured I still have some time to share some Maui moments.  What a fabulous time we had!  The next installment will be our Seattle "staycation" days.

Are you still in summer mode?  Still trying to squeeze every bit of the blooming season before the Autumn harvest?  What summer moments are you still trying to hold onto?

  1. Charmaine, I am such a HUGE fan of your photography! Your photographs made me feel nostalgic - like I could see/feel these memories of your summer. Thank you for sharing. Totally brought a smile to my face.

P.S. I am going to Maui in December and have to find that lavender field!

  2. Gosh! Thank you, Jamie. I think that your photography is inspiring! You always share such emotion in your images, and your writing is genuinely heartfelt too. I'm so glad that we've connected! :) Yes, you definitely have to go to AKL Maui! It's in Kula, Upcountry. You will love it. Since you're going in December, you might be able to buy a bag of crafter's lavender (harvested from the fall)!

  3. Charmaine, your photographs surely make me want to swallow up some more of summer! I just adore the lavender and ocean shots - not to mention the one w/you and the boys... Beauty & Happiness! How did you catch that great shot of the boys surfing, were you in the middle of the waves (being a surfer mama ;)

    1. Hi Catherine! Yes, I was very much IN the water. It was actually shallow enough for me to have a steady hold of my camera:) btw, sorry I haven't been very good about posting my color challenge!
